Klinger is in the heart of the spawn on the north end. The clear water makes for ideal sight fishing — bring polarized glasses and a long rod to reach without spooking.

Most active beds are on the firm sand 2–4 ft off the bank. The males are aggressive and the females are cycling on and off. Patience pays — soak a weightless senko on a bed and the fish will eventually commit.

Average fish 14–17 inches with several 4 lb class females released. A few legitimate 5 lb fish around but they are usually the most spooky and require the longest soak.

Practice catch and release on bedding fish. Quick photo, gentle handling, back on the bed. Klinger is small water and pressure adds up fast.
